PCM
PCM-1 Phase Compensating Module
A device for solving phase loss faults
PCM is a device that can be mounted on a standard DIN rail with a diameter of 35 mm in each two-phase or, Three-phase electric distribution panel/control panel.
In the event of a phase loss on average one-third of the facility will be cut off (or two-thirds in case of a loss
of two phases). When the PCM is installed, the phase loss is eliminated for single-phase consumers in a manner automatic.
The unit is designed to provide continuous power to any electrical panel where failure may occur of phase loss, prevent breakdown of equipment and loss of capital, and save valuable time.
The power supply to the system goes through the PCM. In case of unexpected disconnection of any
of the phases, cause by any reason, the PCM detects the fault immediately and within a few ms
Borrows the power supply from one of the hot phases to the failed one (or two), thereby providing
Continuity of operation for the single-phase equipment. Once the fault is resolved, the PCM reconnects immediately
and automatically the order of the phases to their original state, and returns the power supply to normal operation.
When the PCM is installed, will provide continuous power for the three-phase distribution
under phase loss. However, proper use of the device must be right.
In the event of a phase loss, the PCM borrows power from one of the remaining phases.
The borrow phase will now operate the consumers of the missing phase from a single phase source.
The PCM device is designed to work only for single-phase equipment during a phase-loss fault.
Three phases devises will not be affected, and will respond the same as if there was no PCM installed (stops working), but return working after phase loss correction
